We kept drifting down the rapids untill we noticed something that made our hearts stop,It was a waterfall.

And we were ten seconds away from reaching the edge of it.

We finally fell so I just closed my eyes and sqeezed Sammy tight.

The strange thing was we never hit the ground.

I opened my eyes and saw something really strange, we were floating and dark blue light surrounded the whole area and then we started moving at extreme speeds again.

And we landed on grass and then the dark blue light went away.

I was still holding Sammy but the peddler was no where in sight.

I took another good look around and there we're people dressed so strangly with different colored hair I have never seen before and their were giant houses towars the east.

"Where are we?"Sammy asked.

"Did you ever hear the tale as a child about Yumiko falls?"I asked Sammy.

"Well This might sound crazy but I think we are in the future."I said.

"ahhahahahah Shogen don't be silly."

"I think it might be true though because take a good look around."

Sammy sat up and took a look at the people and the giant houses.

"The story can't be true it's a fairy tale."

"Sorry but I think it is, Sammy."

We ran down the path with much joy because of the great news.

We are so happy words can't explain it.

And the peddler was happy too he came along with us on our trip.

We then saw the Yumiko river bridge up ahead it was great news because we knew that we were close to the school.

Finally we made it onto the bridge, but somthing happened.

The bridge had calapsed while we were on it.

Sammy and the peddler were calling for help and I just watch in shock.

Sammy started calling my name so I swam over to her and held on to her.

Two months later

It was just me and Sammy walking up the path to my home village where the S.A.S.M school is.

We walked up between two hills and decided to take a break right between them.

"Sammy I'm sorry I only have three days left to live. I want you to have this necklace."

Shogen unscrews the necklace on his neck and puts it on Sammy.

"This is how you will remember me when you want to."

"Shogen this is too much for me to handle I will not accept your death!"Sammy yelled.

Shogen stood up to Sammy's height.

"I'm sorry it's the way life is... people die."

Shogen kissed her, It was a really long kiss, the longest one Shogen has ever done before.

"I owed you that for a while now didn't I, I'm sorry."

Sammy pounded the sides of her hands into Shogen's chest.

"Why do you have to die! why? why?!"

"I'm sorry I just wish I could control it."Shogen said.

"I have three days left, I don't want you to spend the rest of your life crying about me.I want you to find another boy to share your life with."

"But...but.."

"Is that the medicine peddler?"Shogen asked.

Off in the distance they could see the medicine peddler running up the path.

"Shogen I have something very important to tell you!!!"The peddler said.

"What what is it???"Shogen asked.

"This disease isn't caused by a rusty infection, but it's caused by some unknown fluid coarsing through your veins, anyway you're not going to die."

Shogen didn't know how to react to the news.

"This is great Shogen!"

"What is this fluid?"Shogen asked.

"We aren't sure but we ran some tests but it doesn't seem to be harmful."

"Thank god!I'm going to live!"

I walked up to Sammy and her friends and told them that we're leaving.

"Where are we going?"They asked.

"We're going back to S.A.S.M school, I'm gonna get you girls to join and we don't have to worry about my teacher anymore.I'll pay for you guys and It'll be 200 coins per person."

"Shogen where are you gonna get that kind of money?You don't have 600 coins."Sammy said.

"Oh I'll get a job but it will take about two months to earn that money."

"But Shogen your gonna die in two monthes whats's the point?"

"Please Sammy don't remind me about when my death comes."

"Oh I'm sorry Shogen I didn't mean to..."

"The point is that all of you will be happy when I'm gone and you will forget all about me, Sammy I don't want you to shed another tear because of me."

"Sh..Shogen what are you saying?"Sammy mumbled.

Shogen grasped Sammy's hands as he talked to her.

"Don't worry about me dying yet I still have two months."

Shogen got up and started walking towards the path from which they were dragged in.

They walked for many miles untill they got to the whealthy village known as chozabu.

"This is a very profitable village I'm sure I can find a job here!"

Shogen looked around and saw a large and popular food stand with a help wanted sign on it.

"Hmm that place looks like it makes alot of money I'll have to check it out."Shogen said to himself.

I walked up to the woman at the counter of the stand and asked her about the job.

"So you want the job, eh?"The woman asked.

"Yes I want to make at least 600 coins in two months."

"Well you get about 80 coins a week and their are four weeks in a month so you would get 320 coins a month."

"Good I'll take the job! But only for two months."

"Good well right now well teach you about the cooking because thats what your job is going to be because our cook is retiring."She said.

After the day was done I felt like an Iron chef they taught me alot about cooking ramen, fish, and sushi.And it was all really easier than I thought.

"Well I am glad that you aren't hurt Shogen.We could use more fighters like you."Himigami said.

"Master I have another thing I must do.I think I told you about it."

"Are you talking about that paper you have to deliver to your father?"Himigami asked.

"Yes."I said.

"Don't worry about that anymore shogen.I already took care of that."

"What do you mean?"

"I sent out a man to kill Mrs.tokonami."Himigami said.

"Really?"

"Yes"

"So now you can go back to your school without being killed."

"But what about this clan?What am I going to do just leave?"I asked.

"Yes you are free now Shogen but you must come back for more training sometime, you must remember that your father is a criminal and he will always be a criminal unless you defeat him in battle and beleive me I knew your father and he was better than you are now."

"Go back to S.A.S.M with your friends too."

"Ok."
